Cyber Security Analysts need strong technical knowledge combined with other more general skills to be successful in role. But remember, these will be built over time and you won’t need to be able to demonstrate all of them straight away.
I’m Rebecca, a NatWest Cyber Security Analyst
I enjoy cracking challenging problems and finding ways to stay ahead of criminals by protecting company hardware, software, and networks. The main focus of my role is to understand company IT infrastructure in detail, monitor it at all times, and evaluate threats that could potentially breach the network. Day to day I look for vulnerabilities and risks in hardware and software, finding the best way to secure the IT infrastructure and constantly monitoring for attacks and intrusions.
