MyRewards exclusions
General exclusions
1. In-store purchases
- Rewards available at UK store locations only.
- Transactions at concessions within department stores or at participating retailer outlet/discounted stores will not be eligible for Rewards (unless otherwise stated).
- Transactions must be made directly with the MyRewards retailers and any additional retailers available under Your Offers from NatWest. Any transactions made via a third party will not be eligible for Rewards.
2. Online purchases
- Rewards available at MyRewards retailers and any additional retailers available under Your Offers from NatWest only.
- Transactions made via a third party, such as PayPal and Amazon Payments, will not be eligible for Rewards.
Retailer specific exclusions
1. Butlins
Please note, Rewards will not be earned through The Butlin's Store.
2. Caffè Nero
Rewards will not be earned at Caffè Nero Kingston, Bentalls, KT1 1TX store, Caffè Nero Cardiff House of Fraser, CF10 1TT and Caffè Nero Blackwells Bookstore, Oxford, OX1 3BQ.
3. ATG Tickets
Please note, Rewards will not be earned on non-ticketing transactions.
4. Europcar
Rewards are only earned on purchases paid for at time of online booking at europcar.co.uk and at all UK Europcar rental stations. Rewards will not be earned on transactions at Europcar rental stations outside the UK or on Europcar websites other than europcar.co.uk. To earn Rewards on your international car rental, ensure you pay at the time of booking on europcar.co.uk. Discounts are valid for rentals booked and paid for during the offer period. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. You must present a valid Credit Card in the name of the driver at time of rental except for rentals in United Kingdom, where a Debit Card may be used. 5. Pets at Home
Rewards will not be earned on purchases made through The Groom Room or Vet and insurance products and services.
6. Q-Park
Rewards will not be earned at airport or hospital car parks.
7. Space NK
Purchases at concessions within department stores will not be eligible for Rewards.
8. Booking.com
Enjoy 4% in Rewards when you book your accommodation through the Retailer Website button on MyRewards Booking.com offer, which takes you directly to the dual-branded Royal Bank and Booking.com website.
You’ll earn 4% of your accommodation booking spend back in Rewards when you book through this dual-branded website only.
To ensure you earn Rewards, make sure you can see ‘in partnership with Royal Bank of Scotland’ at the top of the booking.com page.
Once you’re in MyRewards, click on the Retailer Website button in the Booking.com offer and just follow the steps below:
a. If you have an existing Booking.com account, you can sign into this. Alternatively, you can register for an account or check out as a ‘Guest’.
b. Choose your preferred accommodation, travel dates and room type to see the rate you will pay as well as the Rewards you will earn for that booking.
c. If you pay with your Reward or Reward Black credit card, you will also earn Rewards from your 'spend everywhere else' offer.
Things to note:
- You won’t earn Rewards if you make your booking directly through the Booking.com website (which is not dual-branded with Royal Bank or accessed directly from the Retailer Website button) or bookings made through the Booking.com app.
- If you have a Booking.com account and log in to the dual branded website with this, you will also be able to access your Genius discounts as well as earning Rewards.
- Flights, car rentals, attractions or airport taxi bookings will not earn Rewards. These can be booked on the standard Booking.com website or app. You’ll earn Rewards on accommodation booking only. You will receive an email from MyRewards at time of booking to let you know that your transaction is eligible for Rewards.
- Rewards will be available 15 days after you have checked out of your accommodation and paid for your stay. You will not see these Rewards pending on your MyRewards Statement. You will receive an email from MyRewards confirming your Rewards are on the way after you’ve checked out of your accommodation.
- You will be rewarded on the accommodation value – this may include where tax was added depending on the country regulations followed by Booking.com.
- When calculating the accommodation transaction value, any required currency conversions will be completed by Booking.com.
- This offer is not limited to the card(s) linked to your MyRewards account.
- Any bookings that are cancelled or refunded will not earn Rewards.
1. Supermarket offer on your Reward credit card or Reward Black credit card
Reward Black Credit Card: 1% Rewards on all supermarket purchases on your Reward Black credit card (0.5% Rewards at supermarket petrol stations).
Reward Credit Card: 1% Rewards on all supermarket purchases on your Reward credit card (0.25% Rewards at supermarket petrol stations).
Supermarkets will include, but are not limited to, Asda, Iceland, Marks & Spencer, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s, ALDI, LIDL, Tesco, The Co-operative and Waitrose. Purchases made at supermarkets will be identified by NatWest through the supermarket Merchant Category Codes 5411 and 5499. Merchant Category Codes are industry categories which classify a business by the type of goods or services it provides.
Purchases at supermarket petrol stations will attract the following rewards under the all spend offer from NatWest:
- Reward Black Credit Card - 0.5% Rewards.
- Reward Credit Card – 0.25% Rewards.
Please note that this offer is being offered to you directly from NatWest and is not in any way endorsed, sponsored, sold or promoted by any of the supermarkets referenced or otherwise implemented with any of the stated supermarkets.
2. All other spend on your Reward credit card or Reward Black credit card.
- Reward Credit Card: 0.25% Rewards on all other spend (excluding MyRewards retailers and supermarket spend)
- Reward Black Credit Card: 0.5% Rewards on all other spend (excluding MyRewards retailers and supermarket spend)
The Reward credit card and the Reward Black credit card will offer the following Rewards:
- Reward Black Credit Card 0.5% on all purchases made in line with the MyRewards terms.
- Reward Credit Card 0.25% on all purchases made in line with the MyRewards terms
The above Rewards will not be given in addition to any Rewards for purchases made at:
- MyRewards retailers; or
- Supermarkets defined under Merchant Category Codes 5411 and 5499
1. Travel Reward credit card:
1% back in Rewards on eligible travel-related spend with retailers with the following Merchant Category Codes* :
- Airlines : 3000-3350
- Trains : 4112
- Ferries 4111 / 4411
- Buses : 4131
- Car rental : 3351-3441, 7512 / 7519
- Taxis : 4121
- Transportation : 4511 / 4582 / 4789
- Accommodation / Hotels / Campsites : 3501-3839, 7011 / 7033
- Travel Agents : 4722 / 4723
- Cruise Lines : 4411
Earn 0.1% on your everyday spend back in Rewards on all qualifying purchases**
*Merchant category codes are industry categories which classify a business by the type of goods and services it provided.
**You won’t earn 0.1% Rewards on top of any Rewards earned with your Travel Reward Credit Card:
a. through 1-15% Reward offers from selected partner retailers; or
b. travel-related purchases that are eligible for our 1% Rewards offer
Please note that this offer is being offered to you directly from NatWest and is not in any way endorsed, sponsored, sold or promoted by any of the partner retailers referenced or otherwise implemented with any of the stated partner retailers.
There are some payments where you'll not be able to earn Rewards.
Purchases using your NatWest debit card, Reward credit card, Reward Black credit card or Travel Reward credit card which include:
- purchases that are specifically excluded from earning Rewards by the partner (you can see full details through Digital or mobile banking)
- purchases which are for business purposes
- repaying borrowing and all bill payments, including credit card and store card bill payments
- payment of fines and bail
- purchase (including topping up) of payment cards, vouchers or foreign currency or travellers cheques
- gambling transactions (including a payment to a merchant we identify as being in the business of gambling, even if not for a bet)
- NatWest interest, fees or charges
- balance transfers where we pay your debt to another financial institution and charge it to your credit card
You can earn Rewards on eligible Direct Debits paid from an account within our Reward current account range – Reward, Reward Silver, Reward Platinum, Premier Reward and Reward Black.
1. Sky TV Reward Offer
Earn £50 in Rewards when you join or re-contract with Sky Q or Sky Glass.
- To qualify for Rewards, Direct Debit payments must be made from your current account linked to your MyRewards account.
- Your first Direct Debit payment needs to be made within 90 days of the end of the respective offer period and is subject to a 14 day cooling off/cancellation period.
- To make sure your Sky TV subscription is fully set up, Rewards will be available for redemption two working days after your 2nd Direct Debit payment to Sky TV.

- Rewards will not be earned with Sky Mobile, Sky Broadband & or Sky Talk.
2. Sky Mobile Reward Offer
Earn £40 in Rewards when you join or re-contract with Sky Mobile and pay more than £30 each month by Direct Debit.
- To qualify for Rewards, Direct Debit payments must be made from your current account linked to your MyRewards account.
- Your first Direct Debit payment needs to be made within 90 days of the end of the respective offer period and is subject to a 14 day cooling off/cancellation period.
- To make sure your Sky Mobile subscription is fully set up, Rewards will be available for redemption two working days after your 2nd Direct Debit payment to Sky Mobile.

1. e- code general exclusions
- Gift cards/vouchers/codes cannot be used for online purchases unless otherwise stated.
- Gift cards/vouchers/codes cannot be used at store locations outside of the UK.
- The balance on the gift card/voucher/code can be used for purchases at retailer stores in full or part payment.
- In the event of 12 months of consecutive non-use, the gift card/voucher/code will expire and the balance remaining will be deducted.
- Gift cards/vouchers/codes may not be exchanged for cash or other vouchers or used as a deposit on a credit agreement.
- No change will be given when a gift card/voucher/code is used to purchase goods or services but the balance may be applied to future purchases.
- The value of the gift card/voucher/code cannot be replaced or reimbursed if it is lost, stolen or damaged. Gift cards/vouchers/codes should be looked after carefully.
- When a gift card/voucher/code is used to purchase goods or services, any remaining balance will be shown on the till receipt for store purchases or within the gift card/voucher/code payment page for online orders.
- The gift card/voucher/code is not a cheque guarantee, credit, debit or charge card.
- Rewards will not be awarded on use of the gift cards/vouchers/codes.
- Gift card/vouchers/codes cannot be used in department store concessions.
- In the event of a conflict between these gift card/voucher/code general exclusions and a retailer’s gift card/voucher/code restrictions, the retailer’s gift card/voucher/code restrictions will apply.
2. Retailer specific exclusions
Caffè Nero
- eGift Card will be valid for 18 months from the date it is loaded.
- eGift Cards can be used in participating stores as full or part payment of products subject to the in-store technology.
- eGift Cards cannot be redeemed for cash and cash refunds will not be available if the value of purchases is less than the value of this Card.
Cineworld
- This voucher may be exchanged for Adult (or child) tickets to any standard 2D performance at any Cineworld cinema in the UK or Republic of Ireland excluding Cineworld Leicester Square and Picturehouse Cinemas.
- Uplift charges per ticket are payable for 3D, 4DX, IMAX, Superscreen, ScreenX, D-Box screenings and Cheltenham Screening Rooms. Uplift charges are also payable at Glasgow – IMAX at GSC. 3D glasses will need to be purchased at an additional cost. This Voucher is not valid for Alternative Content, Special Unlimited Screenings, Special Advance Screenings or VIP/premium seating.
- This voucher may be used once only to book a cinema ticket online at www.cineworld.co.uk, or can be exchanged for a ticket at the box office of any Cineworld cinema box office (not valid for redemption via the Cineworld telephone booking service).
- When booking online using the e-code credit/debit card information must be provided (for processing purposes).
- Voucher expires 6 months from date of issue, after which the voucher will be cancelled and no refund will be given.
- Voucher may not be used in conjunction with any other offer.
- Use of e-code and ticket subject to Cineworld’s Website Terms of Use and Terms of Entry available at www.cineworld.co.uk/terms.
- No cash alternative; the voucher, e-code and/or ticket are not transferable and may not be re-sold.
- Please keep this voucher and the e-code in a safe place. It is not replaceable if lost or stolen and no refund will be given.
- Cineworld reserves the right to amend these T&Cs at any time and without notice. These T&Cs and any related disputes are subject to interpretation under the laws of England and Wales, and to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales unless your residential address is in Scotland, when Scottish law applies or in the Republic of Ireland, when Irish law applies.
Currys PC World (includes Currys/Currys.digital/PC World)
- You can request up to one £10 eGift card per six month period. There are no limits or restrictions on £50 or £100 eGift cards.
- For online eGift card redemption, a maximum of five eGift cards can be used for each individual order.
- For in-store eGift card redemption, there's no limit to the number of eGift cards you may use for each individual order.
- eGift cards can be used as full or part payment towards products and Knowhow services in Currys, Currys.digital and PC World stores in the UK. And online at currys.co.uk and pcworld.co.uk
- You can check the balance at www.dixonsretail.com/giftcards or call 0800 897 163. Alternatively, present your eGift card in store where a member of the store team can check your balance for you.
- Upon 2 years non-use, the eGift card will expire and any balance will be deducted.

Red Letter Days
- Each voucher code is worth £20 credit at Red Letter Days.
- Voucher codes are valid for 6 months. All credit must be used by this date.
- Once a purchase of an experience has been made, you will have 12 months to make a booking.
- Cannot be used in conjunction with existing offers, promotions, discount codes or cashback.
- Standard Red Letter Days terms apply.
John Lewis Partnership
- The John Lewis Partnership eGift Card can be redeemed in John Lewis or Waitrose shops and online at the John Lewis webpage or at Waitrose webpage as part or full payment for goods (exclusions apply).
- Protect your eGift Card and treat it as cash; lost, stolen or damaged cards will not be replaced, or exchanged for physical gift cards or cash.
- Expiry is 24 months from date of issue or 24 months from last use.
- Making a purchase or a balance enquiry refreshes the 24-month expiry period.
- This eGift Card cannot be exchanged for cash.
- No change or refund will be given, except in accordance with your statutory rights.
- Any balance remaining on the card may be applied to future purchases, provided the card has not expired.
- The card cannot be used to discharge indebtedness in respect of an account card or credit card issued by John Lewis plc, Waitrose Limited or John Lewis Financial Services Limited, nor can it be used for the purchase either directly or indirectly of any financial product or service.
- Standard John Lewis terms apply.
Greggs
- The Greggs eGift Card can be redeemed at participating Greggs shops in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
- eGift Cards cannot be redeemed in the following; MOTO Doncaster, Ferrybridge, Toddington, Heston, Hilton Park, Lancaster North, Southwaite North, Trowell, Leigh Del, Knutsford South, Frankley South, Donnington Park, Wetherby and Compass Park Lane.
- Protect your eGift Card and treat it as cash; lost, stolen or damaged cards will not be replaced, or exchanged for physical gift cards or cash.
- eGift Card will remain valid for 24 months from the date of the last transaction. Any remaining balance will be cancelled on expiry of the valid period.
- No change or refund will be given, except in accordance with your statutory rights.
- The initial and subsequent balances can be checked on 0191 6078285.
- Any balance remaining on the card may be applied to future purchases, provided the card has not expired.
- Standard Greggs terms apply.
Morrisons
- The Morrisons e-gift card can only be redeemed in Morrisons stores in the UK.
- E-gift card cannot be used online at www.Morrisons.com or outside of the UK.
- Present the barcode from your phone to redeem at a Morrisons store in the UK.
- E-gift card will expire after 12 months from first use.
- Once activated e-gift card can be used as a full or part payment for goods excluding gift card and lottery purchases in UK Morrisons stores.
- No change or refunds will be given. But any balance remaining on the e-gift card may be applied to future purchases.
- Where goods purchased with e-gift cards are subsequently exchanged for goods of lower price or refund, monies owing will be added to a gift card.
- Protect your e-gift card and treat it as cash. As Morrisons do not hold any personal information about e-gift card customers, the balance cannot be returned to you if lost or stolen.
- E-gift card is not redeemable for cash, neither is it a credit, charge or cheque guarantee card.
